Panchakosha Model of Well-Being.
The Panchakosha Model of Well-Being is a holistic model that views well-being as a multidimensional construct. The term “Panchakosha” comes from Sanskrit, where “Pancha” means five and “Kosha” means sheath or layer. The model identifies five sheaths or layers of the human being, each representing a different aspect of well-being.
1. Annamaya Kosha (Physical Sheath): This layer represents physical well-being and is concerned with the health and fitness of the body. It includes activities like exercise, healthy eating, and adequate sleep.
